How to play

How to play

Using your wits and Pikmin pals, you’ll have to overcome obstacles and defeat creatures to find food for your famished home planet.

Rise and shine

At the beginning of each day, pick a landing site and continue your mission. Make sure you return to your ship before the sun sets, or you (and your Pikmin) could be in big trouble!

Overcome obstacles

As you explore, you'll run into walls, streams, and other hazards that stand in your way. Luckily, with a little creative thinking and help from the Pikmin, you can find a way to your goal.

Hostile creatures

Taking on the local predators you’ll find on the planet is an exciting—and dangerous—part of the mission. Watch for weak spots and pick the right Pikmin for the job. Remember: there is strength in numbers!

Here are a few that’ll keep you on your tippy-toes when you cross paths.

Bulborb

Considered one of the weaker creatures, but can still hold its own against a good-sized Pikmin squad. Attack from behind to gain the advantage.

Peckish Aristocrab

Found near water, this creature will grab Pikmin with pincers. It can also blow bubbles that temporarily trap small prey.

Bearded Amprat

A fearsome creature capable of sending out electric shocks to fend off any Pikmin brave enough to approach it.

Pyroclasmic Slooch

These slow-moving creatures use fire to protect themselves and can reel in prey with their tongues.
